Why we don't push monthly retainers:
Most agencies will try to upsell you a $200-$500/month retainer at project close. Here's the math on why this is usually a bad deal: 90% of our clients need updates 2 to 5 times per year. A $200/month retainer costs $2,400/year, which covers roughly 20 updates at our pay-per-task rate — but you only needed 4. You just paid 5x market rate.
What pay-per-task looks like:
- Text change: $30. Email us the change, done in 24 hours.
- Photo swap: $50. Replace one image, keep same aspect ratio.
- New section on existing page: $150. New H2 block with 1-2 paragraphs.
- New page from existing template: $200. e.g., new service page using the design pattern from your existing service pages.
- New page, custom design: $400. New layout, new content, SEO-optimized.
- Section redesign: $400. Rebuild one section (hero, pricing, testimonials, etc.) with new design.
- Full page redesign: $800. One existing page gets a fresh layout.
- Full site refresh: $1,500-3,500. Depending on scope. Typically every 3-4 years.

- Rush (any task): +50% for same-day
Site down emergency:
Vercel/Netlify uptime is 99.99% — the site itself basically never goes down. If something DOES go wrong (DNS misconfiguration, domain expiry, email forwarding issue), text us. We respond within 2 hours during business days, 4 hours on weekends. No charge for emergencies we caused.
Common year-2 projects clients come back for:
1. Booking module — adding Calendly or Square booking to an Essential/Pro site that originally skipped it. $400-700 upgrade.
2. New service pages — a client expands into a new service and needs 2-3 new pages. $400-600.
3. Seasonal promotion microsite — Mother's Day, Black Friday landing page. $300-500 for a focused campaign page.
